Dr. Anish Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Aerospace Engineering, along with his collaborators from IITD, have receievd Ali H Nayfeh Best Paper Award for the paper with title “Effect of Friction and Stiffness Nonlinearity on Vibrations of a Disc Brake Caliper and Its Control Prospects” presenetd in the Fourth International Nonlinear Dynamics Conference (NODYCON 2025) 2025, held in New Jersy, USA during 22-25th June 2025.

MoU Between IIST and Kerala Police Cyber Division

IIST has signed an MoU with the Kerala Police Cyber Division on 13 th August 2025, to work together on drone security, spoofing, and radar related applications. Sri. Ankit Asokan IPS, Superintendent of Police and Prof. Dipankar Banerjee, Vice Chancellor, IIST signed the MoU. This partnership will combine IIST’s expertise in communication and signal processing with the Kerala Police’s practical e perience to strengthen cyber and homeland security. The collaboration will include joint research, demonstrations, and training to tackle new challenges in drone and cyber security.

Memorandum of Understanding with IIIT, Kottayam

A ‘Memorandum of Understanding’ was signed between IIST and the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Kottayam, on 4th October 2024. This MoU meant to establish a strategic partnership between the two institutes, with the goal of revolutionising academic and research opportunities across various disciplines. New Collaborative Initiative Between IIST and SCTIMST on Human Thermoregulation Model Development for ISRO

The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) and Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaboratively conduct research focused on thermal comfort challenges faced by personnel in high-demand, critical environments. The MoU was signed on November 6, 2024, by Dr. Sanjay Behari, Director of SCTIMST, and Prof. Dipankar Banerjee, Director of IIST.
