Research contributions primarily on the development of ultra-sensitive MEMS/NEMS Sensor systems with novel electromechanical transduction techniques.

Sensor platforms developed using silicon, 2D materials & cost-effective polymer microsystem technologies.

Field Effect Transistor based active transduction schemes with suspended gate and suspended body architectures with the potential to overcome the limitations of conventional electromechanical transduction schemes.

 

Nanomechanical cantilevers (NMC) and Nanomechanical Membrane Felxure sensor platforms with integrated high gauge factor piezoresistor for electrical transduction.

Good potential for the development of various applications ranging from cost effective micro sensors in the field of environmental monitoring, homeland security etc.
