It has been known for about a hundred years that our universe is expanding but it is only during the last thirty years that we have realized that the rate of expansion is increasing with time. This has profound consequences for the future of our universe, some of which was discussed in this talk. The speaker of this event was Prof. Ashoke Sen, ICTS-TIFR, Bengaluru.
