Student Visit from OPG World School, Delhi

A group of 18 students from Classes 8 to 11, along with two faculty members from OPG World School, Delhi, visited the IIST campus.
The visit began with an inspiring address by Prof. Kuruvilla Joseph, Pro Vice Chancellor of IIST. The students explored the Remote Sensing Laboratory where scholars explained modern techniques in Earth observation, and the Chemi-Sense Lab where they gained insights into advanced sensors used to monitor astronaut health. They also had the opportunity to visit the Astronomy Observatory, learning about telescopes and the working of the observatory dome.
The group further explored various laboratories across departments, gaining a broader perspective on space science and technology. The visit was both educational and motivating, offering the students a glimpse into the exciting world of space research. Students handed over “thank you cards” as a token of their love and gratitude.
