Ms. Arushi Kumar, a second year Research Scholar in the Department of Earth and Space Sciences (ESS) at IIST, has been recognized with two prestigious awards for her research on "Dust scattering of X-ray photons from Gamma Ray Bursts," conducted under the supervision of Dr. Resmi L. Her poster received the Best Poster Award at the Young Astronomers Meeting II (YAM II), held at IIT BHU, Varanasi (December 5-7, 2025).

The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Valiamala, has been honored with prestigious accolades by the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Office – 2, for its exemplary efforts in promoting the Official Language Hindi. IIST secured the First Prize for the year 2024–25 and the Third Prize for the year 2023–24 under Category–I for outstanding performance in the implementation of Official Language Hindi.
