Dance Club

Welcome to the dance club of IIST– “THE ASTOUN”. Our club is a vibrant and inclusive community that celebrates the art of dance in all forms. Whether you are a seasoned dancer or have never stepped foot on a dance floor before, our club welcomes students of all skill levels and backgrounds. We offer a wide range of dance styles and techniques to cater to the diverse interests of our members. Our managers are dedicated to helping each member develop their skills and reach their full potential.

Music Club

Amidst the rigors of our academic pursuits, The Neptunes Music Club stands as a sanctuary, providing a haven for relaxation and recreation. Committed to infusing the campus with the harmonious essence of music, our mission is to deliver captivating performances at various events, festivals, and celebrations, aiming to create unforgettable experiences for our audience.

Mission and Purpose:

IEEE Club

Institute of Electricals and Electronics Engineers Student Branch (IEEE-SB) was established in IIST in the year 2011. It is a student-run organization of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), motivated to create a unique learning environment enriched by the challenges of the growing trends in engineering technology. In order to gather new knowledge and experiences from the technology and science leaders, IEEE units at IIST regularly conduct high-impact technical events to address membership’s needs and enable networking with national and international experts.

Eco Club

Eco Club Council @ IIST is the formal body formed to make the camps clean and green. Eco club, deals with activities related to campus environment, maintenance of its ecology, hygiene, and waste disposal. It aims to create awareness and sensitivity among students towards the total environment and its allied problems through various programmes. Eco club conducts many campaigns to minimise use of plastics in the campus, moderate use of water resources, reduce air pollution etc.

Aerospace Club

AeroClub at the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) is a student organization dedicated to fostering a passion for aerospace engineering and space science. The club conducts workshops, seminars on various 3d software, and hands-on sessions to make RC planes to enhance technical skills and provide real-world exposure. AeroClub organizes aeromodelling competitions, a dynamic platform for students to explore and engage in aerospace-related activities.

Celestials: Astronomy Club

Celestials, the Astronomy Club of IIST, has been actively involving students in a variety of thrilling astronomical pursuits. Club members indulge in regular telescope sessions, providing them with an opportunity to peer into the night sky and expand their knowledge. Beyond the stargazing experiences, the club participates in Asteroid Search campaigns, allowing students to actively contribute to authentic scientific research through citizen science programs. To enlighten their academic journey, the club hosts professor lectures, offering valuable insights into various aspects of astronomy.
