Aerospace Engineering

Department of Aerospace Engineering was established in 2007 and offers undergraduate (B.Tech) programme in Aerospace Engineering, Masters (M.Tech) Programmes in (a) Aerodynamics and Flight Mechanics (b) Thermal and Propulsion and (c) Structures and Design. (d) Manufacturing Technology and PhD in specialized areas of Aerospace engineering. Our students have access to state of the art academic and research labs in the above areas.

B. Tech. in Aerospace Engineering

The B. Tech programme in Aerospace Engineering at IIST is oriented towards the needs of Space Technology, and has significant overlap with Mechanical Engineering. In addition to the traditional courses in Aerospace Engineering, it includes courses in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing Science, and Space flight mechanics A B.Tech degree in Aerospace Engineering enables student to specialize in Flight Mechanics, Aerodynamics, Thermal and Propulsion, Structure and Design, and Manufacturing Science.
